To My Vertigo I Hang On

Mont-Blanc (Québec, Canada), December 1st, 2025 — CE François Couture is announcing the upcoming release of his 10th solo album, To My Vertigo I Hang On. The title comes from Rupert Hine’s track “I Hang On To My Vertigo”, one of the 10 songs cover on this new album.
Even though sonic experimentation is at the core of most CE FC’s music, the man also loves to cover other people’s songs, arranging and performing duties suiting him as well as improvising or composing. Through the years, CE FC released over a dozen covers either on obscure various artists compilations or on his own soundcloud and bandcamp accounts.
For To My Vertigo I Hang On, CE FC amended, remixed and remastered seven of those covers and completed three brand new ones in the fall of 2025. The album features rereadings of songs by Daevid Allen, Amon Düül II, Beau Dommage, Genesis (twice), Rupert Hine, Joanna Newsom, OSI, Shawn Phillips et Robert Wyatt. The carefully crafted and accessible arrangements stray pretty far from the original versions and showcase CE FC’s creativity, sensibility, and (at times) humour. This is his most accessible release to date.
CE François Couture (CE being French for "This”, because there are loads of François Coutures in Quebec) was born in 2973 and grew up in Sherbrooke, Quebec. After playing rock music in his teens, Couture turned to music journalism for 20 years, before gradually coming back to music in the 2010s. First noticed for his noise-based approach to free improvisation, he later distinguished himself as a composer and producer of eclectic, uncategorizable albums.
